Celebrate the start of the Chinese New Year with events on Meeting House Square and across the city.14 -28 February

In Chinese culture 2015 is the Year of the Sheep. Considered the luckiest sign of the Chinese zodiac, people born this year are among other things polite, gentle and creative souls. With this in mind the team behind the Dublin Chinese New Year Festival have pulled together a wonderfully broad and inspiring programme to coincide with New Year celebrations this February.

Highlights include the annual Chinese New Year Carnival celebration on Meeting House Square, which this year also extends out onto nearby Curved Street and Barnardo Square. Don’t miss out on this perfect day full of family fun!

Also well worth a visit are the Wang Qingsong photography exhibition in the Gallery of Photography, a special screening of Spring in a Small Town at the IFI, and Chinese folktales for all the family at the Gutter Bookshop.

Presented in association with Dublin City Council and Asia Market.
